Prayer Roll

As many of you see on the right side of my Blog is my prayer roll. I recently started a new year at BSF and we are learning about the life of Moses. One of the attributes of Moses that we learned about last week is he was prayerful. I feel that this is one area in my life that I have been seriously lacking in both spiritually and emotionally.

So, for the first time in my life, I have been able to consistently get up before the children and work on my lessons for my BSF Bible Study. In the process, I feel that God is requiring me to intercede on the behalfs of people that I know and that I don't know. Right now, I am currently reading a book called, The Art of Listening Prayer by Seth Barnes. I am still trying to get passed the Introduction, but I look forward to finding out different ways to listen to God, not just go to Him asking for things.

My prayer roll started with Nate, Tricia, and Gwyneth Rose as Tricia was waiting for a double lung transplant and Gwyneth was born EXTREMELY premature. I continue to pray for them as they experience more hurdles with Tricia's health. She has been blessed with the double lung transplant, but now has lung cancer that is from the transplant. Please lift them up in your prayers.

The Brimages and the Sm iths are families that we knew when we were at The Village Church, they are both going to the mission field. Right now the Brimages are in their second or third week in Guatamala and the Smiths are currently at Missionary Training in Colorado. Please continue to pray for their safety and for them to continu e to do God's will in the countries that He has sent them too.

The Purpose Driven Family is an adoptive family that is going through an EXTREMELY difficult time with a new addition to their family. Please pray for peace, safety, love, and strength for this family.

The Riggs Family is another adoptive famil y that I found through Angel's blog. Their daughter from Guatamala has been diagnosed with Leukemia and is going through chemo. On top of that, one her siblings was recently diagnosed with MRSA, so they are struggling to keep Abby 'safe' from the MRSA as they get Sami healed.

Room for at least one mor e (Susannah) is another adoptive family that I just found on Angel's blog. They are in desperate need of your prayers. They are currently in China trying to bring Susannah home only to have found her in a hospital in respiratory distress!! Please pray for the doors that need to be opened to bring Susannah home to get the appropriate medical attention to take place. Also pray for Susannah's healing. She MUST be stable enough to fly back to the States.

The Coppingers (in my blogroll) are my sister and her husband. They are both in need of employment with benefit s. My sister has a medical condition that requires monthly medication that is costly without insurance. Paul has gone on several interview over the past 5 or 6 months with nothing coming out of them. Their current benefits from his severance package will end at the end October.

The Bleekers (also in my blogroll). Michael is currently in Darfur and will be returning home in th e ne xt couple days. Faith, his wife, is home waiting for his safe return with their son Evan. Michael is there with a group of men from The Village Church. Please pray for all of their families as well.

MckMama I found through my friend Keri's blog. MckMama is at the end of her 4th pregnancy with a little boy named Stellan that has been diagnosed with a heart condition. His life expectancy is 50/50 when he is born in October.

Thank you for interceding on all of these new friend's behalf.
