So I went to check on Perryn at the end of her 'rest' time and this is how I found her. She informed me that she 'braided' her hair all by herself and that she loved it. I think she did a pretty good job keeping it in two sections together!! She would NOT smile for me, stinker.

Costume Party
So we had a costume party today at church with all the children that let us play and love on them every Wed morning. It was a little tough to get 13 children to pose in one sitting, so I had to take a few pictures. I made orange and black cupcakes, so we dove into those right after pictures.

FBC Fall Fest
Due to technical difficulties with our camera being stubborn, these were the best I could get on Saturday. Sorry. We did have a great time with the Johnsons and went back to their place for pizza! What fun we had.

Staying put for now
After much discussion, prayer, and thought...we have decided that we are to stay in the Lewisville area a bit longer. The job is good and the location is nice, but in all things, the pay cut and the insurance tripling is just not feasible. We feel that if we continue to pray and keep our faith in God, that He will provide the best job for Gabe in the Austin area. We are ready to move back closer to our families, but want to make sure it is the best position for us all around. God knows what He is doing, and we are to accept that, keep our faith, and continue to pray for what it is that He is going to provide. Thank you for your continued prayers. We will keep you updated as things progress.

We need a weekend of Prayers Please!!
Ok, so while I got to have a few hours to myself running errands, Gabe got a pretty cool phone call. He has been offered a position with the company he interviewed with over the phone 2 weeks ago yesterday. We are asking that everyone put us in your prayers that we can make the right decision come Monday morning. Right now, it looks like there will be a pay cut involved and without really knowing the cost of living that is a concern. The other possibility is, he will start an interview process next month with a rather large hospital that will be opening up in early Feb 2008. There is a possibility of a supervisory position there. So here is what we are asking you pray for us specifically.
- That we do not move hastily, but in a manner that is pleasing to Him in regards to the decision that needs to be made.
- That it becomes extremely clear what it is that He wants us to do.
- That we are at peace with whatever decision is made.

Thank you, Cookie Monster
October is Pastor Appreciation month, so Perryn and I made our GREAT Preschool Staff at church a Cookie Monster Cake!!! Perryn could have chosen from a ragdoll, a bear, or Cookie Monster, and this is what she chose. We delivered the cake this morning, but everyone was out to lunch or at a meeting. What a surprise they will have when they get back!!P.S. Gabe and I are thinking maybe we should start a cake business. Anyone agree? Would you hire me?? Blessings.

Teagan's First Haircut
So our great friend (and wonderful babysitter) is a hairdresser. She was kind enough to cut Teagan's hair on Friday afternoon. He had just woken up from a nap, we put in The Wiggles, and gave him some goldfish. He didn't move a muscle. In fact, he was sitting up the whole time, just until the end did he lay back on Megg to finish his cut.

Freaking Out!!
So, I woke up at 6 am on Friday to get ready to take Teagan to a 7:15 allergy appointment to see if we could get a handle on his eczema. Well, after I stepped out of the shower, I looked up because something caught my eye and found THIS!! A scorpion had been hanging out and walking around on the wall ABOVE my head while I was showering! IIICCCKKKK Gabe and I haven't seen one of these bad boys since high school back in the mid '90s. He sure did bring back memories, but not any we really wanted to remember!!
Gabe actually sprayed him with wasp spray, to knock him off the wall, and then we drowned him in the tub!! Gabe went to put him in a butter container and he moved (I swear I watched this thing take his LAST breath!!), so he got a pair of tongs and squished him a bit more. We had the bug guy come out, but we were running an errand when he stopped by. He was gracious enough to take the butter container with the scorpion in it. So long, we will NOT be missing him.
