Fort Worth Zoo

So we went to the Fort Worth Zoo yesterday morning and had a blast. We fed the birds, we saw as many animals as we could, we walked and enjoyed ourselves and the nice weather. We met my grandmother there and then my grandfather met all of us at Chili's for lunch afterwards.
*On a side note, I am trying to post pictures via Picasa, but for some reason it won't let me post more than 4 at a time going through them. Since I need to be getting us packed for a small weekend trip, I will have to figure it out when I get back, but for now here are the best four pictures I found.

Waiting anxiously to get loaded and in the gate to see the other animals.

My grandmother and Perryn feeding the birds together.

Teagan and me feeding the birds together. Both children REALLY enjoyed doing this.

My grandfather helping Teagan with his milk at Chili's.

IBC Tubes

We went to Irving Bible Church on Tuesday and played in their elaborate Tubes playscape. Just so you know, it is like playing in a HUGE version of the tubes at Chick Fil-A. Our friends Caroline and her daughter Brooke went with us. We had a blast!! Perryn really enjoyed going down the huge spiral slide. That sucker was fast. I took Teagan and Brooke down.

Teagan bummed he can't climb up that direction!!

Perryn coming down the roller coaster like slide!! Brooke trying to figure something out.

Uncle Paul & the Hide and Seek

We still had our new 'Hide and Seek Combo' up that Grammy sent home with Gabe on Saturday when Uncle Paul and Aunt CC stopped by. Uncle Paul was so excited to see this new toy, that he decided to see if his 6ft4in frame would fit inside. Here are some remarkable pictures of his attempt!! Thanks for the laughs!!

Perryn

I miss Perryn. She is such a light in my day. She is spending the week with my sister in Austin and I have talked to her on the phone and the webcam, but I still miss her terribly. I think that it is good that she went to spend some time in Austin, it gives me a chance to realize how much I lover her, to take a breath when she challenges me, and to also remember what a great creation God has made in her. I miss her jokes, her singing, her great belly laughs, the odd things that she says, her quick wit, her hugs, her kisses, her smile, her enthusiasm for life, her energy, and the list could go on. I can't wait to go get her on Friday. I know that she is being well cared for and she is having a ton of fun, but I still miss her terribly. I know that Teagan and Gabe miss her too. We can't wait to see her!!Here we are enjoying her tea set that she got last Christmas!! Oh the memories!!

Thanks Grammy!!!

Gabe went to Austin yesterday for an interview with the Seton Hospital Systems. It went very well and we should hear something before Christmas. He stopped by his mom's on the way back home to visit for a moment and came home with a "Hide and Seek Combo". It is MASSIVE...I had to rearrange the furniture (the love seat is not blocking the fireplace and the chair is up against the wall.), but they sure are having fun!! Thanks Grammy for such fun and cool gift.

Sacrifice

So, I don't know about you, but in this lovely, cramped, 2 bdrm apt, I find deep cleaning and cleaning in general sometimes, a VERY big feat to tackle. In order for my living room to get to this phase and look like this for a bit.... I must do this to my children.....
Yes, they are locked in their room via a gate. I sacrifice their room to get the rest of the apartment to look some what livable again. They will last for an hour (maybe), but when it goes onto the second hour there is begging, meltdowns, and arguing. I know it is a hard thing to listen to, but I must clean, especially after everyone had a bit of a tummy something last weekend.

He keeps me on my toes....

Wow, I knew that raising a boy was going to be different, but I guess I didn't realize that there were going to be days where I just couldn't keep up with him!!! There are so many differences between Perryn and Teagan and one of the biggest ones is NO FEAR. He is precious and I love him to death, and sometimes I wonder when we will be making our first trip to the ER for stitches, a CT scan, an MRI, or something....Here is a picture of my beloved son the way he is everyday.......very laid back.
Here's where I found him AFTER bath time on Friday night. We had moved into the Living room to get dried off and lotioned up....he was first, Perryn was second. I came to put the towels back on the racks and found this....YES HE IS IN THE SINK!!!!! Got there all by himself.
And then here he is singing and dancing....The first time for the singing...

Feeling silly and we have a 'bug'

So, we have joined a new gym, LA Fitness, it is much closer and not so busy like LTF. Although, I LOVE LTF, we have officially parted ways. So, at LAF, they have a hip hop dance class. I have NEVER taken one dance lesson. As long as we were going VERY slow, I kept up and could do the dance moves, but as soon as we went to the tempo of the music, I looked like a flailing something or other. I am sore though, which means I will be really sore tomorrow. But I had SO MUCH fun, LAUGHING at myself that I came away from the class much less stressed. Woohoo, it did it's job. I can't wait to go back next Friday night....what's a happily married woman of 2 supposed to do on a Friday night when her husband is working....now it's Hip Hop class.

It seems we have a bug at our house to top off our Friday night. Teagan has had some not so nice diapers and a bit of the snuggle bug this morning. Didn't want me to do anything else but sit in the recliner and rock....lasted a good 10 min if I count all the time together. Perryn didn't eat supper and was very whiney this evening, so she went to bed early. Gabe wasn't home more than 20 min when we heard the blood curdling scream....he went to check on her....she had puked. ICKY...I am SO glad he is in the medical field, because he gets to clean it. We had to run the wet vac at 11:30 due to the amount...sorry tmi.

Please pray for our sickly family. That whatever this bug is won't last. I have to make a cake for Sunday, so I will be scrubbing this place down, top to bottom tomorrow....bad for business, or I will see what I can do to find an alternative place to make my cake. Night.

I can't seem to get the paragraphs to separate....anybody know why??
